Hello.
I'm writing on behalf of a mission that I support called NowIstheTimeforMissions.com
They share the love and hope of Jesus with children and families living in extreme poverty in Guatemala.
This year, they're asking to join them in giving a different kind of gift this Christmas.
They are hoping to raise funds for 129 stoves in 8 days to be installed next summer in the homes of children and their families living in extreme poverty.
These families are cooking over an open-flame, campfire inside their home because it rains nearly every day for 5-6 months/year.
The Ecocomal high-efficiency stove will last for 5-10 yrs, evacuate 99% of the smoke and deadly toxins out of the home through a chimney, is elevated and insulated to prevent children from burns and smoke inhalation.
Because they are so efficient, these stoves will burn 70% less wood than an open fire, saving woman of the house and average of 2 days per week they do not need to spend to manually cut and carry huge bundles of wood on their heads to their homes.
Since 2006, Now Is the Time For Missions have served thousands of children and their families living in extreme poverty.
Next year, they are hoping to serve more children than ever, but to do that, they need your help.
